Lexi Brown

Bench dedication and blessing in memory of Lexi Brown

Lisa and John Brown unveil Lexi’s bench installed at St. Louis de Montfort School

A bench dedication and blessing ceremony took place at St. Louis de Montfort School in honor of Lexi Brown, who would have celebrated her thirteenth birthday today.

The idea and inspiration for the Lexi’s bench grew out of the conversations of a close knit group of students that study the art of stained glass with Sheri Gasser of Victorian Stained Glass.  Sheri told us that :

Lexi’s grandmother, Liz Brown is a student in our class.  She and fellow students came up the idea of a bench for Lexi and students in all of our classes chipped in to cover expenses.  Everyone wanted to create something very special in honor of Lexi. To personalize the bench we added a Glass Mosaic with some things that we thought Lexi would have liked.

Classmates and family members enjoyed cake to remember Lexi on her birthday today. The bench installation at St. Louis de Montfort School will serve as a remembrance of Lexi’s winning smile and her strong, bright spirit.
